Just need to work out the towing situation. I was just at Bass Pro Shops to look at a trailer. They have two models one designed for a 10-12 ft boat and the other for a 12-14 ft boat. About a $50 difference in price. Any reason to get the larger trailer over the smaller? I must admit I have no experience with towing a boat. Would it be easier to maneuver the longer trailer? Longer trailers back up a little easier, but unless there is no other reason to choose one over the other I wouldn't make the decision based on that alone. You will learn to back up. Will you be using the trailer as it comes? Or will you be modifying it. I would look at the end product, and which will support the boat best. Will the tow vehicle care about the weight difference? Does one have larger wheels? Larger wheels spin slower which can be good on long trips. Quote
