The 2008 messabout will be at shellmound park at nickajack dam, Sept 5,6,7, 2008..25 mi. weat of Chattanooga Tn. on I-24 or 100 mi. east of Nashville Tn.on I-24. Exit #158 turn toward Nickajack Dam (sign) 2.5 mi. to park. The park has bath house restrooms ect. A good ramp with launch deck on one side. Two docks for your boat (no charge for docking). this lake is full of water, so no trouble launching. I will serve burgers and dogs fri. evening and BBQ Sat. evening. Please come if you can and enjoy the fellowship, food, lies and the lake. Any questions please post. Please RSVP so I will have some idea of how many to cook for. Bud. Quote
Greg Luckett Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Any RV parks there? I am considering this. School may interfere. My Mappoint software cannot find Nickajack Dam but I see where I24 crosses a water/river west of Chattanooga. Is that the right area? Thanks. Quote

Shellmound rec. coming from the west (Nashville) on I-24 is the last exit before crossing the lake exit #158, coming from the east (chattanooga) it is the first exit after crossing the lake. They do have RV hookups there. If you want to google them or phone here is the info. I will be coming Friday morning (hopefully) with a poptop camper and my 12' dory "Plum Crazy." My family (wife & 2 kids) saturday afternoon when we will be launching the kids new mouseboats...most likely without the sailing rig though. How many other folks are going to make it?!? Quote

I don't know how to transfer them. Brian Watford even had his cs17 Sunshine there. Y'all could have talked shop.
