Weekender Plans

Look's like it's not easy to get my hands on a set of weekender plans and the dvd from the stevproj web-site.  Other than my current plan of sending them an email every few days to see if it goes through, does anyone have an idea that works?  I am reluctant to mail a check or use paypal and sit back and wait.  Thanks.

Rick I would wait until they resurface before I sent my order.  It may be a long wait as none of us have been able to contact Mike.

I still have not gotten any replies from them either...months now, since my last effort, and well over a year since hearing anything on here from them....maybe 2 or 3 years?

I got Vacationer and PC plans from them last summer-ish...can't remember exactly...could have been early fall.

In looking through past post, it seems there may be a pattern of not replying to emails and calls.  However they do seem to be shipping the plans and DVD's, maybe within a month or so.  I am thinking of maybe placing an order and hope for the best.  They appear to be stand-up guys and have a loyal following, just not the greatest communicators.  Do you know of anyone that has ordered and not received the plans?

I agree with you that Mike and Peter are standup guys.  I do not know of anyone losing money buying from them.  I am concerned that they are somehow not doing well and I am sad that Mike does not respond to emails or the forum here anymore.  It was really nice when he did so.  I am hoping that they will start visiting with us again, or at least answering emails that are business related.

My weekender plans shipped from California to Ohio and were on my desk in ONE WEEK!!!  GREAT SERVICE!  Thanks Guys.  Now I just have to figure out how to build a boat.  Should be fun to watch!

Hello.

I ordered the weekender plans + DVD today.  I promptly received an e-mail from Shannon Stevenson letting me know that the DVDs are on backorder until March 31st and that they would refund my money if I did not want to wait. 

No reason not to wait of course, so I am.  I'll post an update when I get them. 

...just wanted to let you all know that they are at least monitoring the Paypal orders.

I ordered my weekender plans last August.  I used Paypal and got them in eight days.  I didn't order the DVD though.  Maybe that is the answer to waiting for a reply.  Use the Paypal option.

Now we're making some headway!  I picked up some Meranti "Hydrotek" at a little place just west of Sandusky, Ohio, www.homesteadhardwoods.com.  Great prices, Great service and plenty in stock within driving range for me in case I need to pick-up a replacement sheet. ;D  Thanks Greg and Jim for the advice.  I really appreciate this forum and the wealth of information it contains.

Go get em Rick, I am glad that you found my ramblings of use. I hope you will have an open boat shed some time, I would like to come down and see what you are up to. Good luck with your new project and if you need some additional help please feel free to give me a shout.

I used Aquatech on "PRIMROSE" which is the same material that you purchased but with the lesser BS6566 rating. It was a pleasure to work with and finishes very nicely, you will certainly like the material.
