Yachting or fishing haven?

This little Cape cod was caught last night off the beach 7Km north of the mouth. Excuse the bad quality of the photo but I have to share it with you.

PS. No, it is not me holding it, that is the lucky fisherman. I had to tell him though that in my days we actually threw back these small one's :roll:

PS (2) :shock: I wonder how many of these I will get into a day sailing Weekender?

If you hook up with one of those in a Weekender, you won't even need to raise the sails for propulsion! It will be the first "fish drive" we've seen around here.

Biggest I ever caught was a 22 pound yellow tail ... man, was that good. That was on a fishing trip organized at work, and I had never caught anything of consequence before, or since then.

Throw it back.............hell where I come from we would use that as bait for small fish. I remember I caught one that

I wouldn't classify that as cut bait............a little small don't you think? Seriously though, I remember one time catching something a little bigger on a pilcher {bait} rig once, best 5 minute fight of my life.

FWIW, Along the east coast of the U.S., this is what is being caught now.

This is called a Striper, or from the old schools its called Strip Bass.

This is why I miss salt water fishing. I use to fish for these while in Newport RI, and while sailing up and down the East Coast.

Impressive picture...a keeper for a lifetime and beyond.
