That started my day out right, thank you.

I retired in 1999, but got stale sitting home. So to support my hobbies and get me out of the house, I started delivering flowers for a flower shop. Work a few hours a day 4 or 5 days a week. What a fun job and especially this time of year. Listen to Christmas Caroles, take people beautiful holiday flowers and wish them Happy Holidays, What a great season

A number of years ago, I didn't have much to do during the holidays either. So I too delivered for a florist. Instead of having the holidays be a total drag on my spirit, it kept me upbeat and brought some joy to my heart. Made the entire period a much happier time.

Many years ago I was a pizza driver. That was the crapiest job that I have ever held. But the owner of the shop also owned a flower shop and tapped his pizza drivers for flower delivery on mothers day, valentines day, etc. I never got a tip delivering flowers but the joy and excitment directed at me hour after hour was one of the most uplifting experianc3es of my life. I would have done the work for free.

Thanks Barry I really like that arrangemet. Wanna get in the spirit of Christmas and feel good all over? Go down to your local fire station and volunteer to be an elf on their Chirstmas Fire Truck. Watching the little kids faces is priceless. Not all fire stations have a Christmas Fire Truck, but most of the rural departments do. Check it out. It is just about as much fun as you can have, fully clothed. :roll:
