Gordy Hill
Ok, 147 people have read my post and nobody, NOBODY! has come up with an idea on how to find these great mast sections! Y'all aren't trying! They're out there somewhere. I was sure one of you guys would have come up with something by now. If this group can't find a way to scrounge stuff, I'll lose all faith.... Guest Oyster
I have no idea of what you are talking about. But I thinkI know, and will wonder off the deep end and add my two cents, worth, but normally I am pretty much lost for ideas and words. I think that you need a fiberglass extention for the top of your rigging? Well I use a wonderfull fiberglass pole that were broken wind surfing poles, two joined together for my sprit pole, and also use it for a poling push pole in the shallows, and it works like a champ. It has a lot of miles on it. I plug the end with a piece of harwood, shaped like a egg, too, that fills the end. Be prepared to open up your wallet if you buy one new. But most folks that sell new ones have broken ones, which can be had FREE!!. you know like most folks never think about when they are looking for disguarded boat junk. Greg Luckett
Oh, okay, try this link: http://www.genesis-systems.com/downloads/sparksfiberglass.pdf#search=%22tower%20replacement%20fiberglass%20%20%22fiberglass%20antenna%22%
Gordy Hill
Thanks Greg! I'm not sure what antenna covers are but maybe that's what I had. It's sure worth looking into.
PJPiercey
Ditto what Oyster said. I used the Coresound 20 mast scantlings for my CK17 and added aluminum North Sails windsurf mast tips for the upper portion of the masts. Extremely light and they work great. JetStream
I have never seen a source for the tapered sections but found a nice company that sells lengths of regular fiberglass tube. I found it helpful for a few projects. http://www.mgs4u.com/fiberglass-tube-rod.htm good luck
