New CS 20 getting started

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I have been lurking around for a short time, but decided to go ahead and introduce myself. I have plans for a CS20 #86 and I have the lumber, so I am just getting started. This is my first boat building experience, so any advice is welcome, and I am sure I will have a lot of questions.

Hello Chris, You will be most welcomed on this forum. There is a lot of idea's and methods lurking here. Like anything else you have to see what will work for you. I like to listen to all input, then keep the meat and throw out the bones.

Everyone is helpful and nice to talk to here.

Most of us are amateurs but there are a few pro's also.

I would just remember to coat as much epoxy as possible flat on saw horses. Fit it, coat it, sand it and then install it. It will save you countless hours of fun sanding.

Have fun with building your boat and if you run into problems, Graham is a great guy to deal with. This board is also a tremendous resource.

Hello fella CS20 afficianodo,

Ask any questions that you would like as you go along. I visit generally daily. Most of the questions you run into will be answerable by anyone who has built one of Graham's boats and is not specific to the Core Sound 20.

You woud find Devlin's Boatbuilding Book quite helpful as a basic stitch and glue resource. You can get it off amazon.

Thanks for the support , I am working my way through Delvin's book now and have started to develop a plan of action. BTW joe youhave a great looking boat and its a source of inspiration, as with all the boats I have seen on this forum.
