first sail of the season

couldn't stand it any longer. temps sunday were in the 60's though the water was still cold I only tested it with one finger while sailing fortunately. "Scraps" hadn't seen water for 15 months and leaked about 2 cups before swelling up. she'll be fine now for another year. we tried out the new lake on US 150 near Stanford called cedar creek. it's about 4 miles long and 1/2 mile wide in the "new" sailing basin. nice ramps and parking area and off limits to personal watercraft and water skiers . a few bass fisherman were all that were seen on a nice sunday afternoon. the wind was a little light but we managed to navigate the entire length and breadth of the lake all the while enjoying the afternoon . I forgot my camera so no pictures this trip but maybe next time. took a friend so I had some company and a little help. this little lake would look really cool if we could get more than one sailboat on it at a time. well gotta go back and work another hour or two. busy time you know. the best to all. barnacle bill
