It is a circular disk, with "Roundtoit" printed continously on one side, spiraling into the center. So the next time he says that he will finish some part of the boat when he gets a round to it, tell him he already has one. Quote

tdrown Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Perhaps marine influenced or related things. Maybe new tools, Nautical antiques, things made of brass, books. I got a bunch of gifts from stores in St. Malo when I was there this summer like a brass bottle opener with anchor on the handle end, a shoe horn with a ships wheel on the handle, a few nautical figurines, a mountable bottle opener for the boat, a small novelty throwable life saver that read 'bienvenue a bord' (welcome abord) and a ship in a bottle. None of these gifts were for boat builders but they reflected the giver in a way and the nautical aura of the region. I certainly would have appreciated any of these gifts had they been given to me. Perhaps a little more personal than a certificate, but then again certificates cover the most fastidious of gift-recievers. Quote

So my boat has her "soul", now if the builder can get healthy long enough to tolerate the elements, she'll have a complete body to go with it! Boat items on my Christmas list this year include West Marine gift certificates, a new plunge router, a small space heater, and a GPS. Quote
