5200 Marine adhesive sealant???

I bought that stuff through the mail and to my surprise, It comes in an all metallic casing???It as the shape of a caulking tube but the bottom is seal

It fits the caulking gun :? Am I supposed to open the bottom ?? Or squeeze the stuff out like tooth paste???

And to all of you who think I am simple ,I opened the door take a dig

If I remember you need to puch a hole in the metal cap (unscrew the plastic nozzle and use a nail) and cut off the tip of the plastic. then, just fit it into the caulking gun and start pulling the trigger. It will break the bottom loose.

If that fails, lay it on the floor and stomp on it.

I think I had to whack the bottom seal loose with a hammer as it wouldn't budge. I'd use disposable rubber gloves when smoothing it out, as it's a pain to get out of your fingernails and off the skin.

Yep, you punch out the bottom seal with a hammer, remove it, cut the tip and poke with a long nail, like regular caulk, and you're on you're on your way.

Just be sure you only use that stuff on a PERMANENT joint. It will take dynamite to remove it if you need to replace a piece later. It's great for gluing lead ballast to the keel and major stuff like that, but don't use it any old where!

What HighC said .... knock out the protective metal cap at the bottom, cut the tip off the other end, poke a long nail into the hole where you cut the tip off and use a caulk gun.

I mounted a jib swivel block to the side deck with the stuff, and a couple of screws. Not sure I needed the screws! When I removed the jib swivel block, I had to work a carton cutter blade back and forth to cut the stuff in two.

It is definetly good stuff, its what all the local builders use around here.
