BTW, the 2-1 rigging I created with the jib sheet really helped out in raising the mast. I ended up attaching teh end of the sheet to the eye for the clubfoot. Once the mast it secured, simply re-route teh sheet to it's proper location.

Technically speaking; what type of construction is the Weekender (other than plywood)? I am making a spec board for the boat and want to include some of the particulars. thanks, Jake

OK Bill, I see it now. How is yours attached to the 'sail'?? I like that placement, just not sure how to accomplish that without ruining the sail. (of course, in hte show I will only have it on a topping lift.)

Barry, I am still undecided on the motor mount. I might take the mount I made to the show and ask a few of the wandering folks there. Bill, I am unable to view your picture. Want to try again? I would love to see. Derek has a good question that I (obviously) don't know the answer to. BTW, thanks on hte graphics. $32 and a snap to install. Took about 20 minutes.

On a gaff rig? Namely a Weekender. Off of a shroud? Topping lift? Aft portion of the main sheet??

A pattern and a router are probably hte wya to go with an inlay of this type. If you were to cut clear thorugh the stipping and attempt an insert, the curve won't come out fair. I also have thought about the same thing (inlay); I would set up a pattern and cut it less than half depth. Then fit in the inlay pieces with a quick curing glue. Derek, not long from now, I should be moved and 'partially' set up. You are welcome to come and use some of the tools, if it will help.

I will pick up the graphics for the name on Thursday. Two tone gold and green lettering including port ofd call only cost me $33! If the weather holds I should be able to finish up all of the final details that day (aside from sails). This way I should be ready for the show! I have to clean all of the dust off the kayak as well, as it will be in the show also. Then I will have to start packing and I've gotta find a truck, REALLY soon!! :)

Denis, what Barry is saying makes sense to me, though my hull was assabled when I got the boat. Derek, you just did this, do you have any advice here???
