I don't think I would want to use it on a Baidarka. I think it would be really hard to get it on without a lot of trouble. It would be a lot like cotton duck I imagine. With no stretch and not being able to shifting the weave it is going to be pain I think. Quote
Kudzu Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 My shipment arrived yesterday....this fabric is not as stiff dosent seem to weigh as much as the fabric you used to have.....I hope it is just as durable .....fishing arround trees just below the surface, and getting high centered was never an issue with the tighter weave fabric....Just a little apprehensive. ..... woodman - which fabric are you referring to? Have you used it yet? If so, how did it work for you? I am about to order some cloth and was thinking of trying the lighter weight, cheaper stuff this time. He was talking about the new 6 oz fabric. I am not concerned about the strength of it, but the weave is pretty loose and you will have to be careful and good sewing skills. I would prefer the old 8 oz but it is not available and this is such a good price it is worth a little aggravation I think. Quote
