K4lmy
Today after passing a tug boat pushing 12 barges up the Illinois River , I called him on the radio to thank him for allowing us to pass with out incident. He responded with Thanks for staying out of the way but also with compliments on "Our Classy Boat" and wanting to know more as well as how much did it cost . We quickly told him it was a Bluejacket 28 and that information on the plans and building were available on the web. Some times I think about putting a canvas tarp over De De for all the comments that we receive. Get ready for it .. for you also will get a similar reaction.! ejds
Looks like you are the floating advertising for Tom's Bluejackets. How about painting http://www.bluejacketboats.com on the side. Has been a week since the facebook page is updated, where are you. Egbert
ejds
Henry and Diane, Is the Midwest void of any Internet access? Haven't seen any updates in a while. Nice picture Egbert
graftonian
Bluejacket boats do draw attention, De De was the talk of Grafton when Henry and Diane passed through Grafton earlier this month. For me, it reignited that desire to build one of Toms hulls. A stroke changed my life in March of 2013, putting a boat build onto some kind of "bucket list". But now, after 18 months of improvement, maybe it is time to get started. Several years ago my wife and I took a look at a BJ28 being completed in western PA. What is the status of that boat? Tom Lathrop
I don't know of a BJ28 in Western PA but Rick and Viviane Lapp in Muncy, PA ( west of Philly) have been cruising their Calin Fione for a couple years now.
