floor in tangerine canoe?

Had anyone built the tangerine and can show me how they made their floor?

I am about to cut the frames so need to think about this now. I was planning on running cedar strips but due to the middle of the boat being so much wider than the ends I don't think that will look right so I might have to go for plywood.  Now I am wondering how much of the frames I can cut out for the floor and still have strength to support the stringers.

None.  Read note 6 on the plans, floorboards go on top of the frames.

I think using cedar instead of plywood would save weight. Canoes tend to be heavy compared to kayaks.

You could lash together a floor separately and make it removable with Velcro...be a nice way to clean out under it...The less stuff to carry in a boat the better because you can't always unload at the waters edge.....

Or you could glue the floorboards to cleats and then Velcro them in like woodman suggests.  This will really baffle onlookers as they wonder why they don't slip around
