Mark Gudschinsky Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 I've been lurking about here for the past few months waiting to post till I discovered something worth passing on to the rest of the board. Well as I was backing my partly assembled Weekender into my yard two different women stopped to say, "What a cool boat!" right in front of my better half. So the most important thing I've discovered about a Weekender so far is it's a Babe Magnet! It just so happens that one on the women was Mike's wife who immediately recognized the weekender lines. So now that everyone knows I'm out here I'll chime in occasionally. Quote

Some guys are adding weight to the bow sections to bring the bow down, I just haven't figured out how to attach armor plating to the hull. :roll: Be sure to give me a shout, if you truely need a hand, I don't mind. And contrary to rumor, I don't have rabies, I just drool a lot. If you don't have a dig camera, and want to take a pic or two to show the crew, I'll help you there, too. Quote
Guest Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 Not to crash your parade, but two ways in the not so distant past to ad weight elementary way, is to by patio stone bagged and inclose it in a big garbage bag and install in rope locker, for the times you may need it. Most weight fifty lbs. The next way is to pour concrete in large coffee cans and add as need. We also have poured in place wet concrete this way, in a framed compartment foward under bunks, or bottom of rope lockers. Quote

Actually, Todd Schmitt built his Weekender with that at least pertially in mind I think. :wink: It seemed to work. As regards his boat, he needs pestering to get it back in the water.
