I don't believe, I just received this month copy of "Wooden Boat" and low and behold, shiver my timbers, but there was a Weekender in the Launchings section. It has to be a first. congratulations to Lonnie Fox for making it in the May/June issue. It looks like a beautiful boat as well. I hope to see him on the water.

Actually it is a first.

My wife bought me the Woodenboat CD set for me for christmas last year. I've gone through every issue in the CD set and all of my back issues in hard copy and there has never been any Stevenson boat until now.

The March/April 2003 edition of WATERCRAFT magazine features a 2 page spread about the Weekender in its Grand Designs section. It's basically the same material that the Stevensons have in their website. I was glad to see Weekender featured in this very popular magazine from Britian.

I dropped my Wooden Boat subscription and subscribed to Watercraft instead. It focuses more on small, home built wooden boats.

In the same section is a review of a 30'double ended,sharpie yawl by Iain Oughtred called "Haiku". For those of you that want a bigger version of the Vacationer, take a look at this one.

I'm looking forward to seeing that article (we all are here). They called last week and said they were sending a copy over. I'm glad to hear they're more small-boat/d-i-y types; they sounded nice on the telephone.

Greg, it's a great sadness that Woodenboat had to stop selling the CDs. They do not have ownership of all the articles to allow publication in electronic media. This legal issue is affecting a lot of sources.
