ilnadi Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 let's see: since got the S11s plans the car got rear-ended, got fixed, kids got sick, wife went on business trip, it rained, it rained, (oh yeah, it snowed) so I still have not done the 100mi drive to get the plywood. OTOH, I have had a few useful sidetracks. I built a simple router table and upgraded the dust collection. Hopefully nicer weather is on the way so I can drive with the plywood on the roof rack. Quote

Where in NJ are you doing your build? I'm in Toms River and sporadically building a CS 17 between business trips, and finishing a cabin in California... Quote

I am in Clinton and I was planning to drive to South Jersey Lumberman's for the plywood. I called them and at the time they had what I needed in stock. Quote

The hardest part is to get started, from there it will be much easier - or so I've read somewhere on these forums. Quote

My Spindrift was started by lofting and cutting out the panels, then it sat for a year or so, then assembly started in ernest, it went 3D, then the finishing was delayed until last summer, but it has yet to splash. The weather got cold and wet and windy too early last year. When ever the weather finally gets nice here, I hope to splash her. My original time table was one year. I am afraid to start on my Princess Sharpie 26 due to the expense of storing and working building rents that might spread out for years in a similar manner. I am thinking that a CS17 or CS20 might be a 4 year project for me instead...... Quote
