Rex fearnehough Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 Hello Folks. I'll introduce myself. My name is as posted, I live on the small island of Bressay in Shetland. I am the proud owner of a clinker built Shetland model which hasn't seen water for a minimum of 18yrs. I am reconverting it to sail. It will be sliding Gunter rig the spars are around 80yrs old. My own spars are 66yrs old. I like humour and I initiate a lot of this humour myself, because I do quite a lot of stupid things. I have a wonderful ex-working border collie named Sox and in keeping with my weird life she is epileptic. Her hobbies are chasing every animal that eats. She works on the assumption that all food belongs to her. I am open to all views and I am truthful. I can take criticism. Rex. Quote

Rex is a winner, he lives on one of the remotest spots on earth ( get a map take a look ) and has one of the best outlooks on life and a funnier man will be hard to find (excluding me of course ). Rex and Sox are a welcomed addition in my life and on this forum we are lucky to have him. Rex, this forum is a way more laid back place, It may take a day or two to get a question answered and there are fewer around but the ones here are nice kind hearted souls willing to lend a hand, Enjoy Quote

I also enjoy a good sense of humor, which you will find, there tends to be a lot of that around here. All good people, with kind spirits in this house. This is my first boat. Now I am some what touchy about my first love. She was a good little ship, before that dasteredly, careless, deck hand of my Grandpa's sank her those many years ago. Goof with it a bit and you could stretch to "far enough", which kind of fits where he lives. Hi, Rex. Where's your famous collection of cartoons?? And yep it is true, Rex, no parental control will make a wooden boat builder out of anybody :twisted: And the hammerhead shark I put in that swabies boot, I caught on a line with no hook, just one of my Grandpa's 5 inch prawns. The dang shark just wouldn't let go, the prawn got stuck in the sharks throat, :silly: so into the swabies boot he went. Quote
