Princess 22 sailing and building blog

I found Wes Kisting's construction blog for his Core Sound 20 very well done---both informative and enjoyable.  Daily I follow the Log of Spartina, a sailing blog done by Steve Earley covering his projects aboard his home-built John Welsford Pathfinder.  Both take you along step-by-step and share their experiences almost like you're there.  I've read all the periodic updates of Charlie Jones' construction of Pilgrim, but can anyone steer me to a sailing or construction blog for the Princess 22?  I'd really enjoy the greater detail of almost being there.  If there isn't one, perhaps one of the P-22 builder/sailors would start one.

I saved most if not all of Charlie Jone's pics of the building of Pilgrim, and lots that have been posted since the launching, 254 of just Pilgrim. I also saved a bunch of Pilgrim's topic discussions. Nearly everything came from this forum, but some might have also been from the Wooden Boat forum.  Charlie liked to post things there too. I have saved everything I could find on the PS22 builds, over the last several years. I think your idea of a PS22 specific section, and maybe one for the Core Sounds, and the Spindrifts, is a great idea.

Noticed a lot of pictures have now been removed from the forum.  I am thinking of a P22 for my next build (it won't be long before I am too inflexible to sleep in an open boat).  If you email me back channel I might be able to suggest a way to transfer the info to a 'cloud' (place on the web to make a folder that can be accessed by others).  Otherwise I maybe we can work out a way to burn the files to a CD/DVD.

Richard, good ideas.  :!: Thinking about it:

I want to explore the possibility of setting up some sort of history subsections where the pictures and notes of building the most common boats that we build and discuss can be saved. I know a bunch of my pics came from B&B for the first PS22 and my Spindrift pics are now all mixed with the ones that B&B sells. I do not want to take anything away from their commercial enterprises, but we should be able to post all the other pics and summery that we are all posting of our own builds. From the little that B&B charges, their cost of burning the CD is barely covered.

We should also have some history sections for the Stevenson boats, at least the Weekender and the Vacationer. Someone would need to take on the responsibility of making the summary of the building and getting it posted. Maybe someone that built a type of boat would be the best for that?

Can anyone direct me to other Princess 22 builder sites and or pictures.  I would love to take a look at some of Charlie Jones pictures of Pilgrim.  I have not been able to find them on the forum yet.

Yep, I got the construction CD - about a gazillion pictures on it :shock: - way too many to post on the forum.  And they are not in sequential order of construction.  However, I think there is a picture of just about everything Charlie did when building her out :smile:.
