    This post is a note concerning the construction of a catspaw 8 dinghy.  I have never posted on this forum so I should introduce myself.  I am Phil and I live in eastern N.C.  I am an avid messer about.  I have for awhile considered building a rowing dinghy.  I found B&B's web site, e-mailed Mr. Brynes and visited his home and workshop.  I purchased plans for the catspaw from Mr. Byrnes.  I studied the plans, bought the materials, and went to work.  I had a great time.  The plans are precise and easy to follow.  I swear the boat almost builds itself.  I set up an awning with two saw horses and a plywood top and essentially built this boat outside.  This project requires few tools and easy to master skills.  I would encourage anyone considering a boat like this to get the plans and and start building.  I had a great time and I am  an amateur.  I at times had questions about the construction or the plans.  I called Mr. Byrnes 4-5 times and he was always was available and always helpful.

Where in Eastern NC are you? I'm in Spring Hope NC! Inbetween Rocky Mount and Raleigh! I too am waiting on pic's!
