Frank Hagan
We have a new article outlining 3 ways to edit digital pictures for uploading into our forums Here! One is the "Make Thumbnail" right context menu option that is on some installations of Windows XP, and then two free programs that work very well. In the interest of fair disclosure, Google pays us a referral fee for anyone who clicks through from our site, downloads and installs their new free photo organizing/editing software. But that's not why we're recommending it; like the other program mentioned on that page (see below), the Google program is easy to use and very well done. We have a short tutorial on how to make a reduced image size suitable for uploading into our forums or sending in email. The second program is right for those that don't want to install a complete photo indexing program with all the bells and whistles of Google's solution. Its a small, thumbnail making program that is freeware, and one that I use myself, as it provides a "right click" context menu item to quickly create a thumbnail of any picture on disk.
