Dave R1 Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Here you go. Most of the dimensions aren't critical. Just use a handy piece of scrap. I show the jig transparent so you can see the opposite side. I gave it a couple of "ears" so it can be clamped to the bulkhead. Notice I show the gauge part of it shifted so that an edge aligns with the center line of the bulkead. It would also align with the centerline of the bottom panel so it should make it easy to square things up. the notch in the bottom is shown 5" wide. Basically you need to cut away some of the material so that the jig doesn't tough until you get the equivalent of the depth of the mastbox from the bulkhead. The notch probably doesn't need to be as high as I've drawn it but it needs to clear the stringer that goes across at the front of the bulkhead. Click on the picture to get the big view. Quote

I fixed the drawing so you can save the new version and get rid of the old. By the way, It's a good thing you aren't going to name your Weekender "WEEKBLOODYENDER". Andrew thats bloody amazing!! :eek: Okay... there I am just over the right of the railway track on your left next to the creek with the big covered thing in the back yard :cool: actually by that map which I cant get to go any closer (wish I could!) Im just to your right of the arrow where the roads join and the thick green bit over the creek is... thats the Beela Creek home of the soon to be Dingo Creek Woodart and Woodcraft in all its glory! Sailing boating areas... north 20 klicks is Harvey with the Harvey Damn east to Collie with the Wellington Dam... Harvey Dam is far more interesting than Wellington dont believe the touristy bs... Australind is the sailing place for a weekender since the estuary is sorta like a big bay has a fair bit of protection on the sea side with huge sandhills on the other side makes for a brilliant spot... then of course theres the Collie river which leads of from the estuary up to Collie itself and also meanders by tribune all the way back to Mandurah... head out from the estuary into Bunbury harbor and your suddenly in open ocean Jos people come from Australind and weve spent many of our holidays sailin and generally puddleducking around the estuary over the years... beautiful place... mmmm must get down there and take some pics one of these days Cheers for that scare mate!
