It's funny you should bring that to light again, since I've been thinking about that technique. I would definitely try it on the mythical "next" boat.

I tried it, but my plastic was too thin. You really need thick stuff, something that is wrinkle proof or at least very resistant. He suggests .030 or better.

Thanks for the links, Dave. The film technique looks very interesting ... interesting enough results to give it a try. Also, the centerline thrust aspect of the electric motor gives me an idea for the Weekender ... hmmm ... have to think about this...
