First day of spring!!!!

Perfect day for sailing!!! I found that the sails (boom) sits low. Still worked nice. Just need to... :oops: :roll: ....re-cut the length of the sails. I'm about 6 inches too long... :cry:

Now Stump,

If we are to really get a good idea of what your newly recut and resewn sails are looking like you need a shot of the boat under sail. Just step out to the side about 20-30 feet and we'll have a better feeling for it.

If the main is about 6" too long, then you could cut a roach in it and let it go loose footed instead of lacing it to the boom. Rig an outhaul to the clew so you can bag it out or tighten it up depending upon conditions.

Yes, pretty day here in Puget Sound area. Temp in the 50's sunny and calling to all of us to get our boats ready. Opening day of Yachting season isn't far off now. :roll:

Stump's photos are from Elliot Bay looking East at Seattle. Only bad thing about being out there is traffic from the Ferry boats going cross sound and some rather large marine traffic heading into and out of port. And the water is COLD. :shock:
