Hi,

The plywood to start the building of Diva #73 arrived last night, so I thought I should pop in to introduce my self.

I will be building the Diva and then plan to build CS17, #140.

I moved to Tasmania 12 months ago with work and finally have an area that I can work in. Most of my tools are still in storage as we are trying to have renovations completed before unpacking everything. But I have enough to start the process.

Tasmania is near the top of my list of places to visit... maybe... someday... I was briefly in Australia years ago, but didn't have money nor time enough to cross the strait. If I had it to do over again...

Hi Steve,

You'll love your Diva - I built built two and they are much loved by their owners, and much admired by anyone seeing them.

I'm in the throes of building the prototype of a 13' 'Lil' Diva', which will soon be followed by an 18' 'Grand Diva'.

If you can get hold of Australian Amateur boatbuilder magazine, over two issues there were articles I wrote about building two of them at once: 'Twins'.

The same articles are reproduced on the B and B Yachts website.

I have also published a few photos in an album in this forum, and have been really slack about posting more, but I will do so eventually.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the kind offer of support, I am sure that we will talk. It was your articles in the AABB that put me on to the Diva. I had been planning to build a stripper kayak (and will do so one day), but I also wanted a project that gets me out on the water fairly quickly. After reading your articles and having a look at the B&B site, I liked the lines of the Diva.

I am also considering the Grand Diva, but start to meet some resistance about the number of boats that I will have sitting around.
