I want to build a pirate ship bed for the boy(s).

We have our 20 month old toddler and Number Two is due in mid-May. I'm thinking real hard about making a pair of beds (or maybe a bunk bed or something) with the pirate ship motif.

No such plans exist online that I'm aware of. I'll be fooling around with this idea for the next 6 months or so. If you have thoughts or ideas, chime in. :wink:

Well I am a grandpa now, I don't expect I'll be building one, but I think a prirate bunkbed is a cool idea. Your a good dad Konrad.

Jeez! When I was a kid, I had to wait for the washer, dryer, or fridge to go bad, before I could have a cardboard box, pirate ship. :roll: :wink:

Well boo-hoo, mister never-finished-the-boat. How's things down there? You guys all cleaned up from last summer?

I do like the link posted above, I could make a bed like that. I think the real challenge is that I'd like it to be some sort of thing that'll be for TWO youth mattresses (baby bed mattresses, but taken out of the crib and put in a "regular" bed)

Maybe one mattress fore and one aft? Not sure, I'll have to work on this. Their room is large enough for it, I just gotta come up with a plan.
