adla Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 i've been busy busy busy this afternoon....and it is clearer why i practice cutting circles on my bandsaw....THE BIG MOMENT - earlier, i managed 8 porthole rings.....here are my photos. I have about 1/2" of plastic resin glue, epoxy and fiberglass resinn+bondo on it, and maybe some beer bottle caps embedded in the stuff. adla Posted July 1, 2004 Author Posted July 1, 2004 well Florin, thaz cuz i do the messy stuff in the carport....i almost had the shop floor concrete stamped with a faerie....i'm obviously not right in my head. Any WHoOo..i have the dust collector that really does a lot of the clean up during process and i use it as a big shop vac too....but the carport is a bit more ghetto fabulous with epoxy, resin glue and beer cans... a. Florin {VACATIONER} Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 It wasn't that hot around here today, maybe 23C... I'm so glad to be done with that feckin' sanding and bondoing.... Just drilling holes in the mast and working on the taffrail now. Lots of little things to do. Also drilling the port rings holes in the cabinside.... Tomorrow I have to paint the rings, rudder and rudder box... Then, staining and varnishing the brightwork. I hate that.... too many coats of varnish. She HAS to be in the drink by the end of next month. This weekend I have to weld a trailer toghether. Cheers Florin Quote

Also, i picked up a duplicator that attaches in the front and with a little double stick tape..."you can do magic"..... I hope you'll post some pictures of your dual tool station as you go. By the way? How do you plan to cut the openings in the cabin sides for the ports? Or have you done it? I made a template and used the router with a 1/4" upcut spiral bit and a brass guide bushing. The template was made so it could be positioned with carpet tape right on the cabin side. Quote
