Frank Hagan Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 Well, looks like I fixed it, but some of you may be experiencing problems still ... let me know if you are. I tried to edit the header from remote, using a proxy service, and it mangled all the paths. I think its fixed now, except for the Google ads at the top which I'll need to add from home. I'd be interested to see if the people using Firefox or Opera can see the navigation bar better now (which was the reason for the editing I did). Quote

Frank Hagan Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 I fixed the problem with Firefox not seeing both lines of the menu bar also. Firefox is Mozilla's new browser, and its pretty nice in terms of what it does, but it also is very strict about some rules. Almost all the pages being written today are to standards that the browsers don't fully support, so you find yourself having to tweak this and that to make the pages display correctly. Quote

It is the text that is not wrapping, but you may be right that the picture size is affecting it? I have never had a problem with this before, nor in any of the other msg threads which I have spot checked. It is something odd in that one msg thread. Greg. Quote
capt jake Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Well, maybe my eyes are getting better, but it appears as tho9ugh the font is a wee bit bolder, which is great. When posting I do notice that the outline of the 'boxes' are quite bold now. Still no problem. Keep up the great work! Hey, did you ever take Aslan out??? Or did I miss you re-launching post. Quote

Strange things happen with CSS and HTML 4.01 (which is what I'm rendering pages with now). So fixing one thing also "fixes" others ... I suspect my prior error caused the borders to not be as bold. Its harder with the Forum pages because I really only control the header and the footer; the rest is drawn by the Forum style sheets. Quote

I used to be very savvy in computer operations; as things have progressed (and I am no longer 'allowed' to partake) I will leave it in your miraculous hand!
