capt jake Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Several have asked about my gooseneck design; here goes. Mine is solid SS round stock with a chamfered front (to clear the mast). Through that are the standard holes, though I fit in plastic bushings in these holes. I used SS eye bolts, through bolts on the mast. I turned small UHMW bushings to fit in the eye (to take up the slop) and inserted the pivot bolts through these. the strap on the boom are also SS, same with the plastic bushing inserts. I also inserted plastic washers in between the straps and the solid piece to reduce friction. Several pictures here to hopefully clarify what word can't convey.
