I 'mocked' it up today, I'll tidy it up a bit and it will be my steering holder - and yes that UHMW plastic IS a kitchen chopping board (note the curved corner!!) Barry Pyeatt Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 I believe it requires a much larger computer and a flatbed scanner in order to post besides the secret password. :roll: Below the Posting window, there is another window labeled "Add an Attachment" Know where your file is located in your computer and click on "Brouse". When you locate the file drop down and click on "Add Attachment". Then click on "Submit". That is all there is to it. UNLESS the file it too large. It has to be smaller than 300 KB in size. I generally set the size by pixels and try to keep it smaller than 300 X 500. At that size it will be included in the post rather than a link to it. Quote

Bill Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Hey Andrew.... I think I see where you are going here...just a suggestion though.. I "think" those round pieces of wood (you are using as stops?) will break pretty easy under pressure. On either side of the screw there isn't much wood, and any torque in the area is going to make them fly apart (in an area that isn't easy to get at.) Using the same contruction idea, you might also make those pieces out of the UHMW/Chopping board Material. I would probably make the width of pieces as wide as you can so that there is plenty of material on the sides of the screw. I would also put a screw 180 degrees on the other side too, to prevent movement and twist under pressure.... Just a thought.... B. [attachment over 4 years old deleted by admin] Quote

You should be logged into the Gallery when you get there. Then, click on the "My Gallery" link on the left near the top ... if you already have a gallery, it will take you to it. If not, it will create one for you and take you to it. You can then upload at will! Your password for the forums is the same one for the Gallery. Quote

Barry Pyeatt Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Andrew, Just place a stainless band clamp around them and they will be fine. You can drill a pin hole rather than a screw but I don't think you need to do that. A band clamp will hold it all together regardless. If you are not that certain about one, then use two. Kinda an "Easy Squeezie" solution. Quote

If the image below is readable (I compressed the heck out of it), you should see the link that you click to create "My Gallery" and then also your name in the title bar below it.
