Planing Amanda under sail?

Question for Amanda builders/owners...

 

Will she plane under sail to any degree? Easily, or only with a bone in her teeth, or not at all?

 

How about with 400 lbs of persons/gear?

I can’t believe nobody’s responding, Spike.  I don’t have one, and sailed B&B’s only once.  On the plus side, the flatter v-bottom should plane off quicker than a Spindrift.  On the minus side, the standing lug rig is a little slower than the Spindrift’s Bermuda rig (except off-wind).  Not sure what it would take to get on one with a 400# payload.  That’s scary.

Yes she will. I have done it solo with 60 # of gear. Naturally the more you load it the harder it is to get her going but on a broad reach with and some swell and you are brave, it is achievable.
