Robert Cox Posted June 27, 2003 Author Posted June 27, 2003 Actually Barry, that will not be the final colar. We're planning to finish her off with Interluxs' Interdeck non-skid paint. We're debating on either the cream or Beige. Saw a couple of boats out at the yahct club Wednsday with the tan 3M stick on non-skid and I thought they look real good. So I'm kind of leaning towards the Beige. Bob Quote

Mike Pennington Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 Bob, The other day while sailing out of the launch area, a multi thousand dollar ultra jet boat rigged for catching fish as big as whales :roll: over took us in the no wake zone. The skipper was cool 8) because he edged over way to the left and I knew he was throttled down as far as he could get with that turbine from a 747 :wink: But he was headed in to about a half foot of water, so dang me if I didn't tell him so. I told don't worry, come on by, his little wake wasn't going to bother the Wolf. He thanked me, and asked if I built that boat. I said yeah I did. He said nice boat. I said thank you. As he pulled away, I heard him say to his four crewmen, "Now thats a Boat Builder!" :oops: Shucks! I have seen some Vacationers built of late, and yours is right up there at the top. I think that title of Boat Builder, might truly belong to you. Not only because you have built a well made boat, but you have put so much into doing the job right, solving the imperfections in the plans and most of all sharing that knowledge with others. Way to go Boat Builder, Star Chaser, brings Quality to the fleet. P.S. Now for the meat of that juicy hamburger I just fed you. Got a pic of your inner forepeak area looking out of the hatch, particulary interested in framing and support, Please! Mike Anyone else feel free, I am open for visual motivation. Quote

Mike, I'm not sure I understand what your asking to see. I've got some pictures of the forward locker/forpeak. Are you talking about deck support in that area. I know the deck as shown in the plans does have some give. I put extra support under mine. Is there something else your looking for. Let me know.
