  1. OK Arnold... "I vant to haf my baby." You make me wish I was 10 years younger, and hadn't had this surgery.... NOT! Just remember. Your :lilangel: is gonna be just like you were/are. Wait till [he] rides his dirt bike through the sliding glass door. Or, [she] shows up on the back of her boyfriend's bike, and he rides it through the slider with her on it. The kids are splitting their tongues now! Do you think it going to get any less crazy 18 years from now???   That's OK. When you eventually get your head knocked out of the clouds, You'll probably still be happy. Congratulations to Lisa... Oh, and to you too, Buddy.
  2. "My wife's havin a kid in three weeks... I'll work it out and we'll be in touch later in July."
  3. Thanks! So what's a Floridian doing using a Canadian word... Ey? Take Off!
  4. By the way... I just went over this thread again and I'm called "old" three times, and "Hoser" once. "Hoser" I don't mind, but at least half of you are older than I am. Right?.... I said RIGHT!?... I know Paul J is older than me. He's older than everybody! 8)
  5. HAH!!! I knew my post would drag this bottom feeder up outa the slime . 8) Comin' down, are ya? How long have I been hearing that? "I'll be expecting at least one shallow wreck dive, and a variety of fish during the review." Ain't never been to the Keys. Have ya? Boy... You ain't seen nuttin! "More to come soon."??? Just like old times. Eh, Buddy? :drinking:
  6. Pine Island !? I know that place! They've made some improvements on the hulls, but the flat bottom still has it's limitations. Thanks for the warning, Gordy. So Russ, You gonna sail that thing up the river, over the lake, and across the state? Or are you gonna go the long way, down through the Keys? 8) Actually, my tub is gonna be a dive/snorkle boat more than a fishing boat. I've already installed a swim ladder and scuba tank racks. Oh, and just in case you think I didn't know... "Fogive" is spelled F-O-R-G-I-V-E.
  7. .It's plastic. It has the lines of a... bathtub? And it's powered by 90 Japanese two-stroke, oil-smokin' horses. If this isn't as far away as I could have possibly come from were I was when I started the Weekender, I don't know what is. But it is a "project boat". I ordered it minimally equipped on purpose. ...and she says I can do what ever I want to it, as long as it's ready to take her out on weekends. Let's face it. Buying was the only way I was ever going to get on the water! :shocked!: [attachment over 4 years old deleted by admin]
  8. WOW! Lookin' good, Dude! :usa
  9. OK, fess up. This "Konrad" person is someone's alter ego. Someone has been posting as this "Konrad" for several years now, and it's obvious that this "Konrad" can't be a real person. Pregnant wife? Motor cycle up the stairs? Come on now. You don't really expect us to believe this guy is real, do you? Paul? Frank? Jake? Which one of you guys is the real "Konrad" :?: :?: :?: July 4th. Huh? Tell her to hold out one more day. The 5th is a good day to be born on.
  10. There used to be good sitcoms. What happened to Barney Miller, All in the family, Mash... ? I turned on the tube the other night, for the first time in a long time, and in one hour, on 3 stations I saw about a gazillion adds for pharmaceutical companies. What's up with that? "Tell your doctor, you need these pills." (I thought it was up to the HMOs to decide what drugs I need and don't need.) "Take one a day and the sky will be blue, the birds will sing, your golf game will improve, and your family will no longer be dysfunctional! (Side effects may include abdominal pain, damaged heart valves, bleeding ulcers, and sudden death. These symptoms may go away during treatment. If they become troublesome, consult your doctor.)" I sat there softly humming Stephenwolf's 'The Pusher'. :usa
  11. ...One cool lady.
  12. That's celsius, baby! (mid 80s fahrenheit) and I am Likin' it! If I wanted to be mean to all my northern buddies, I'd tell you about the blue sky and puffy white clouds... but nevermind that.  And see... I told you my Weekender would get finished! Did I ever say I was gonna finish it? Thanks for the kind word, John. I'm sure you'll finish her into a beauty. And post more pictures! I've already seen the ones you have up. :salute: :usa
  13. Hey Bill, I spend as much time as I can in the Keys. I love it down there. If you've never been there before, it's a pretty big place. Key Largo is about an hour from Miami. Key West is another 2-1/2 from there. Each area has is specialties... Fishing, diving, shopping & night life, etc. E-mail me and let me know what you're looking for, and I'll see if I can help. Here's a starter... [http://www.fla-keys.com/index.htm] Bruce :usa
  14. Yeah, but on the other hand, it would be creepy knowing that Big Brother was watching me every time I came back in from a fishing trip. It
  15. A Cuban Coast Guard patrol boat, flying a Cuban flag, pulled up to the dock at the Hyatt Marina Resort in Key West. Four Cuban coast guardsmen got out, armed and in uniform . They walk into town, found a cop and surrender themselves. A Spainish-speaking officer who was called for assistance said that they "are happy to be here" and want to defect. Back at the dock, aboard the Cuban coast guard patrol boat that was still flying a Cuban flag, were two loaded AK-47 assult rifles along with ammunition. OK, I know it was 4:00 am, and it is Key West, (nobody looks "normal" there) but... Jeez!... Actually, It's kinda funny in a way. They were on patrol to stop their own countrymen from fleeing to the US, and decided to terminate communication with Cuba and head north themselves. :usa
  16. How about a 16' square-rigged caravel? Hey, They worked for Columbus, right?  Might be a less complicated way to play around with the concept. 3 sails instead of a dozen. :turn-l: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid49/p5da16e01cca8ee1b907b21fa3b8fec3d/fcb25015.jpg
  17. There was a terrible emptiness in a beautiful blue sky over Florida this morning. God bless the families and our nation.
  18. Ok, So I don't do sports. Don't know. Don't care. But it's the BUCKS for the first time! My brother has a big-screen, and the beer will flow. Whoooo wheee!!! :drinking: Only problem is... When she asked me if I would go with her to our local performing arts hall to see Les Miserables, I said yes without either one of us knowing what day her sister was buying tickets for. Well, at least I won't be hung over in the morning.
  19. Didn't you have a big caterpillar under your nose when we met a couple years ago?
  20. I'm still lookin' It was suppr time and I had to go.
  21. Ain't never been there, cuz ya can't get there from here. But "Fla" works. Something new to learn... That's cool. 8) Really classy look to it, Frank.
