Belhaven Curious in Seattle

Is there a Belhaven 19 anywhere close to Seattle that someone would like to show off?  I am thinking a Belhaven 19 will be my next boat and would like to have a look.

I think the Core Sound 20 MKIII will be a better and more seaworthy boat then the Belhaven 19. The CS20III also has an alternative available then the two top cabin hatches, basically two tracks, then a fabric covering down the center of the cabin top with battens; so you can use the cabin to get all the way forward comfortably and easy.

Well, the Mk3 is still a CS20 -- Graham said that he wanted it to be able to win the EC. That means easy planing and rowing, but still a camp cruiser (I've already got one of those; you've been on her). The Belhaven is considerably more boat, in roughly the same length, and it should be considerably harder to get it on its side than any of the 20's. Also there is sitting headroom below and room for a galley flat. With the same sort of raised deck cabin, the Bel might be a boat you could do a month long cruise on. Probably wouldn't be as pretty or as fast, but nicer to sit out a couple days of bad weather on the hook in some quiet cove. It would be interesting to run both designs through SCA's Seaworthiness test and see how they compare.

There is just something about the Belhaven that appeals to me more than CS20MK3. Guess I'll just wait for Lynn to build his Belhaven.
