Portsmouth raiting for a Core Sound 17

Looking at getting a kit for the winter project and was wondering if there was a rating for future racing.

My guess would be 95-100 although faster reaching. Sea Pearl 21 is 97

It wouldn't be hard to get a rate, though you may find it's on the arbitrary side in some yacht clubs, depending on biases.

I had a Portsmouth rating of 99 assigned in the Wood Regatta with Lapwing. That proved too low against other boats of known ratings but would probably be about right for the CS17.

The DPN will depend on wind strength. If your club is using just one number, you're going to have problems. My guess is above BF-4 it's 98 or so. BF-3 and below it's more like 101-103. These are not great light air boats.
