32-34 foot keel boat

I plan to attend the B&B get together next month. My Belhaven will be in prime shape with a new paint job. For you that hate yellow ,it will still be yellow.

I just retired and I need a very good Catketch as a retirement home, so we are going to have Graham design us a 32 to 34 foot keel boat. I hope to start this boat in the spring if I have given Graham enough time to design it. We want something that we can live on 5 months of the year in the Gulf and the the Islands.

I am also excited to see a Princess 28 coming to shape, I know Gary has been dreaming of this.

Tom I have been out of the loop for awhile and your Lapwing is of quality to be envyed by all.

When I said a keel boat I have been still kicking around a centerboard or combination.

Hey Scott,

Do you have any pictures of the interior of the Belhaven?  I am trying to decide whether to build that or a CS20.  I like the open cockpit but wife would prefer a boat with a cabin and a few amenities.  (And I do need a crewmate sometimes  :-D )

She was out on a 24 footer this summer and thought it was pretty nice.

Any thoughts on the size of the cabin and layout would be a help in making a decision.

Ditto the request for interior Belhaven pictures.  I keep thinking someday a CS17 is going to hop out of my pile of plywood, and when it does, if I build a boat with a cabin I'll have all my sailing needs covered with homemade boats. 

The Belhaven is on my short list of what I might dive into next year.  In fact, Belhaven probably _is_ the short list.  That Apostle of Speed article sure got my interest back up!

I had some on 3&1/2 But they are gone somewhere. We had a house fire awhile back and a lot of stuff has not shown up.

I had promised Ray I would get some new ones but failed that promise so far.

We are repainting our Belhaven at the moment, when we get it cleaned out I will get some new picks. Then if I can figure out how to make them small enough I'll post them.

There were some posted a year or two ago but must be some problem with seeing them now, because Ray couldn't get them up.

Ron She has a nice cabin for a 19 foot boat. The V berth is easy enough to get in and out of. The galley is big for a 19. I think I would do away with the quarter berth instead have a nice built in ice box. I have spent many weekends and a dozen week to two weeks times aboard. That bunk just ends up being packed with stuff. A real cooler super insulated would be nice big time.

The Belhaven is a real nice boat for two but gets tight for three, and its not so much three people but the stuff three folks drag along. We have had the DWL disappear with the boat packed for three for two weeks in Florida.
