The BYYB is moving!!!!

BYYB is moving! On Friday night, 10/31, we will be moving our website to a new server. Posting on the forums will be suspended Friday afternoon and will resume when the move is complete.

How will you know when we are on the new server? The design of the new site is very different, so there will be no mistaking it!

Some of your bookmarks or links will be broken by the move, and you may have to log in again to the Forums and Gallery. Your current username and password should still work.

OK, the orders are in ... I suspended the forums on the old server and re-imported into the new, and issued the order to the registrar to change the DNS information.

I suspect the DNS information won't be changed until Saturday, but we'll see.

So for no change to the DNS information ... I'm a little disappointed in the registrar!  I'm ready to go, and its raining here so I have a perfect opportunity to deal with all the problems that usually crop up!

Well, the folks holding the domain name are non-responsive.  Brandy had said she could change the DNS information within 2 hours since they work out of their home, and they haven't even responded to the request.

I am reversing the changes and releasing the BYYB.ORG forums back to participation.  We'll have to get the domain name changed out of their registrar first.  I think that will mean that Scott Widmier and you will have to send them a letter via US Mail.  Then, we'll have to restart the process again when I can devote the 4 hours it takes to move forums!
