Question re Two Paws 9

Gents ... am glassing interior seams and looking at plans they call for a 2 ply, then 4 ply then 6 ply layering of glass on the sides of the interior bulkheads.  My question is:  do these layerings of the glass cover the seams all the way across the entire base of the bulkhead, i.e., would be 6 layers if I am reading the plans correctly, or, is it only for the sides of the bulkheads, fore and aft.  Seems like a lot of tape along the base portions of the bulkheads, but then, what the heck do I know??  Tnx.

I would assume that it is the same as for the Spindrift  9 nesting that I built.  The plans call for 6 layers on the top third of the nesting bulkhead to side panel joint, 4 for the middle third, and 2 for the bottom third.  I did this by applying 2 short pieces to the top third, then 2 medium pieces for the top 2 thirds, then 2 long pieces for the entire length.  I did all of the layers in succession to get a primary chemical bond.  I did the full length pieces last to avoid frayed exposed ends and achieve a more fair result.  The nesting bulkhead to bottom panels joint is one layer like all other joints.

I sat down, put my feet up and closely looked at the plans and figured it out similar to your post, except it appears that the two layers of tape go entirely across the bottom-hull joint of the nesting bulkhead(s).  Coming along nicely, wanted to get most of the glass work done will it still a bit warm up here in the Seattle area, then can sand and fuss with the finish items all winter.  Tnx for your assist.
