Vacationer plan

Hi all

Everyone knows by now it's hard to get answers from Stevenson project, so I figure I'd try this route.

Is there anyone with a vacationer plan (new or used does not really matter) and willing to part with them?

I do.  I have a Vacationer plan set, along with the associated hull/sail number, which I will never build from, nor has any boat been built from this plan set.  I believe that it should be able to be sold to someone who will use it as it was intended.  Off the top of my head, I have no idea what was paid for it, but I have had the plan set for several years now.

Well Denis, what a small world. You can come over and look at my plans anytime. I never knew you were building a Weekender, glad we talked last night. There are 2 other Weekenders in town, yours and another under construction. Probably the largest concentration of Stevenson boat in one area, can't wait until summer. I'd like to see your progress soon, and give you a hand on you boat.

Well ! I am.

I have a Weekender in progress and given the situation with Stenson's Project.

I wanted to get a Vacationer plan for my next project in case they shut down 

And low and behold Greg Miller which i do scouting with has a Vacationer and we have known each other for 6 month and this never came up 

I went from being a lonely builder in an isolated area to find out there is 3 Stevensons boat in my town.

Yeah! Really cool that you have a local fleet, and I thought our little Alaska Fleet was Froggy. I remember when I was a Scout, and dreamed of canoeing Canada's Lakes. Now that dream has changed to sailing some of those lakes.

I saw in another thread that folks are getting the orders from Stevensons filled fairly quickly via ordering and PayPal.  I suggest you give that a try for plan sets and DVD.  I did see that the DVDs may have a short back order too.

Actually I have ordered Vacationer and a GT-8 pedal car plans and I got a reply the next day. They are out of the pedal car and got refunded right away. Vacationer plan are on route and Stevenson seems alive and well.

as for the DVD iI have the VHS version from when I bought my Weekender plan.

Greg do you still have the plans? I'm looking to get a set of vacationer plans. I've tried the website and it doesn't seem that they are taking orders or the site is malfunctioning. I'd love to get the plans and get started on the build.

As they say in the weekender video "first cut fever"..  ;D

Yes, I do still have the Vacationer plan set, but would like to hang on to it for a little longer at least.  I do not expect to ever build the boat, but love the way they look.  I might try my hand at modeling.  On the other hand, if you cannot get the set from Stevesons, I will sell it to you as I am of the opinion it would be better to have another Vacationer in the fleet rather than having an unused plan set sitting on my shelf.  From what has been reported the last couple of months, the Stevensons are filling orders in a reasonably good time frame.  I bought this plan set several years ago and I do not know if there have been any modifications or updates.

Hopefully, some one on here can help you figure out how to overcome the ordering problem you ran into as well.

Keep in touch and if you cannot get the plan set by the middle of May, let me know.  That should give you time to get materials and begin the build in the June/July time frame.  If I do not hear from you about it by the first week in June, I will be gone to Texas for a month or so, which would toss you into the July time frame to get the plan set from me.
