Structurally stronger and perhaps even more useful might be a slot-top so you could walk upright all the way to the foredeck.  It also increases sitting comfort in nice weather--I made my rough cabin addition a lift-top, but so far I find I don't want to bother with it when the slot can be open.  The slot also improves ventilation.  I wonder what Graham would say about either idea?

    It took me a few seconds to put 2+2 together on this one. When I seen Graham it was then the I realized thats my boat in a different pair of pants.

I wouldn't worry to much about air flow. With the hatch on the roof and the five ports along with the compantion way there is enough of a breeze down there to mess your hair up.

Head room is good for that size boat also. Only time it gets to close down there is when theres three of us down at the same time.

I would not change a thing about the cabin even if I were building her again.

As far as going forward you'll soon find out the the Belhaven is very stiff and walking around on the deck is always easy.

As for the color I like Yellooooow better.

Did you keep tack of how many hours it took you to build her?

It took me 2 1/2 years of spare time. If I were going to guess I would say an average of 6 to 8 hours a week. 780 to 1040 hours.
