Rob Eades Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 Just got off the phone with Aircraft Spruce customer service.She had to put me on hold and call the buyer for this item.The answer I got was that their okoume is manufactored to BS 1088 standard,but is not stamped as such,and that has something to do with the large quantities they buy. I got no real answer to the odd pricing where 1/4 is less than 5/32. Do we have an Atlanta forumite who could take a look at this stuff? Rob Quote
James Bandle Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I checked with Aircraft Spruce some time back in Dec. last year and was told that their product was not marine grade and that the glue may not be water proof. Jim Bandle Quote
PAR Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I've been under the impression that all of the aircraft grades were not WBP adhesives and unsuitable for the marine environment. If it was BS 1088, you bet your bottom dollar they'd stamp it and price it accordingly too. Quote
