I really do need to find a better name for my boat! It seemed appropriate at the time.

I always seek names that are easy to say and be understood over the radio, and that do not sound too similar to any of the standard radio jargon, such as PAN PAN, OVER, ROGER, MAYDAY, SECURITY, etc.

Renaming a boat is not a big deal unless you are superstitous. Since I am a Christian, I do not let that sort of thing bother me, but on the other hand I am a Shellback, so I follow renaming customs....just in case.
