Our second season is upon us. Fall fishing and fine weather exists to be able to once again take my old buddie out in the boat. The trout is red hot with limits per person per day. And we are limiting out right now. He has been in ill health for a number of years. he has had all the bypass surgery and ballons one can deal with and there is not much left to do for him but take it easy. He went last year in the sailboat and enjoyed it since he actually grew up on the sailing skiffs as a kid. But the heat and cold air makes it difficult to find the right mix but today was one of those days.

So as some of you make fires in the fireplace, we did this today, a repeat performance of yesterday. Sorry I have been a bit busy and have neglected responding to some of you guys projects and the likes. BUt I see that some of you guys are still boating and some folks are taking the plunge.

Hey- I took the Birder out Sunday morning- only had one hookup and he spit the jig- right into my left ear!! Smarted a tad.

But on that same lead head, with a red and white shrimp tail, fishing on the bottom, I caught a 14 inch mullet!!!! NOt foul hooked- he bit it- caught him through the upper lip.

First time I've ever caught one on a rod- good fighter too.

I followed up this late afternoon, after having lunch for a repeat performance, with a bit more luck, finishing off with a beautifull fall evening sunset, complete with a sundog to the right of the main cloud.
