Providence River

Launched from a nice ramp in Colt State Park, Bristol, and took a full crew of boys up the Providence River on Wed. 5-10kt and a reversal of the usual prevailing winds should have meant we went upstream sailing to weather, and then scooted downwind for a predictable homecoming. But, as usual, nature didn't read the forecast. Winds were much lighter and variable going up, so we didn't get all the way to Providence (a mile or two short, instead), and between the fluky winds and a late departure, we hit the ramp in the dark and I didn't get the boys into bed until 11pm+. (Beatrice loves me, but I do try her patience...)
