SW weekend

i sailed with the legendary Phil Gowans this weekend (that is twice now) --- and Brit who just launched - Bill who just launced....Randy the expert cat flyer, Darick and that pirate Steve Downs ---

Looks like one of those 1800's waterfront pictures with all the masts and rigging all lined up and overlapping.

Captain Bob, more on that later, after having done a quick sail in Charlie Girl II said "My goodness (or words to that effect), that thing's got as many strings on it as a big boat!)

It definitely does look like fun. Thanks for posting, Adla, but I think you owe us a few more photos.

I didn't get out this weekend but I did have the cover off the boat yesterday. I even got a short nap in the cockpit in the afternoon.

I did manage to make my first Turk's head for my steering wheel.

Could have used more wind and less jetskis in Georgia. Nice shots but please at least photoshop the bumpers before posting. :wink:

Bumper crop.

Fender render is where you photshop them into the picture because you hung them out on the starbroard side, and then approched with the dock on your port.

THanks DAve - i haVE toTAL SAil ENvy....the white sails are going to be the end of my complexion :oops:

toOo much glare---i have a hat and wear it but long sleeve cotton tee-shirts are on my list and so is a LARGER brimmed hat. The boat deck is perfect...creamy without being too tan

Phil got some nice shots of Morgaine

the last one is me and Bill Olney - he hitched a ride after his gaff jaws broke...his nickname is "wrong way bill" i leave the helm to adjust something upfront or whatever and when i come back....surely the first thing out of my mouth is "wrong way bill".... he is a great guy and a good friend. We did have a lot of fun this weekend...it went too fast

i thought i would throw in a picture of my new tiller - it has a shim in place (what i was in a hurry) but the shape, size, and angle was PERFECT! it angles down pretty sharp but i am small and it hits my arm just right --- i REALLY could not be happier...the tiller is more ME -- i will use the wheel for the vacationer.
