Olympia Wooden Boat Fair 2006

OK, that wooden trailer and river boat. Only epoxy, no UV protection. It is 10 years old and the only maintenance is to scuff it and apply some more epoxy. He sad he has only done this twice.

I triumph and a tragedy were had today. Triumph, my wife actually went on the boat!! :) She has never wanted to in the past as it is 'too small, a wee tiny thing, too tippy, etc". ;) We sailed it from the show to the marina and she even helped me load it on the trailer and stow everytning. :)

The tragedy was that my rudder box blew out on one side. I had a feeling that it might some day. It got water into the ply (simple DF) and it swelled. The interior is ok, I will see about a quick remedy short of building a new one this summer. I thought the epoxy might have been tihn in a few areas around sxome fasteners. Middle of the 3rd year isn't too bad though. ;)
