I just mapped it out, only 2293 miles for me to go to Benton Harbor. Not sure any sale this time of year is worth the drive that far in this kind of weather.

I suggest flying into South Bend, IN, then rent a car and drive up to Wolfs. The airport here in Benton Harbor does not have commercial flights anymore.....I think. It will take about 40 minutes from the airport to Wolfs.

The Wolfs open house and spring clearance is a big shindig for them and I always enjoy visiting with the venders and eating some of the free food and drinks. They have a huge building, about the size of a Home Depot, plus another one across the street, and several outside fenced yards, plus a dive shop.

Yea it looks like I will be doing a serious road trip of about 4,000 miles in the next week if the winter snow melts in those two regions. Love to get up with anyone on the way.

Don't count on the snow being gone. Since moving here in 1995 it snowed one June, had a blizzard with power knocked out in mid March, etc. The good side is that they are really good about making the roads usable in a hurry and as long as you take your time, steady driving is normal year round. I have only missed work about 5 times in 11 years due to weather, and that is about all the snow days the local school has had. It takes blizzard conditions....high winds....to make it too bad to get around.

thanks. The crazy thing about my orginal intent for the area, was to pick up a part from Kodiak-Tood products. But after several weeks of attempting to contact them and evern ordering onliine for pickup from them, I have run aground with them. They never confirmed the order after I called the main office, in New York. So I will forgo the visit now, and will continue non-stop to the snow belt of Michigan. I consider days like the one you had as one day closer to spring.

HUmmmmm, big red truck to Benton Harbor from here. Think I'd be better off packing myself in a crate and shipping air freight with a good sleeping bag and some blankets.

Spent a week in Benton Harbor one night a few years back during a snow storm. Then got to Grand Rapids and spent another three days there frozen in with drifts over the cars. Snow plows were nice enough to bury everyone parked alongside the Motel. Took us days to get out of that one. A quick three day trip ended up taking over a week to get back to Detroit. I understand how it can nasty it get there after being a rep working out of Ann Arbor covering upper and lower peninsulas year round.

But then, I can remember sailing on Lake Michigan many times when it was incredibly great conditions too.
