Frank Hagan Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Great post, Bob! I can see a lot of uses for the Brownell's phosphate bluing compound. I had tried a "paint on" bluing on some tools, and was unimpressed ... didn't work like regular bluing you see on old tools at all. I have some old tools I inherited that are a challenge to keep rust free (I live about two miles from the beach, so even in my garage, things rust from the "salt air"). I've been trying to figure out a way to copy your great posts to our "Articles" forum, which will be a "read only" archive of the best posts, and still preserve them in the original forums. But so far I can't seem to do both with them. When I get it figured out, and get your permission to cross post them, this is one I would love to have there. Quote
