Sailing video

OK, I am not known for taking great pictures or video for that matter. Here is an attempt to post a little 'warm' weather for you. Note; the editing software kind of did it's own thing (I think it's designed to do that ) so it appears somewhat choppy.

Also note, this is a large file , 11+MB. I need to play and see if I can get it smaller.

by the by, I finally got a digital camera so you all might just get some pictures from me this year as opposed to just my wonderful verbal discriptions :roll: :wink:

Glad to hear it worked. I have a lot more, but can not figure out how to 'compress' it or make the files smaller. Not very much information with the different software I have. I may play with it again later.

I didn't like the way the software took license to edit out the narative. :roll:

The only time I have taken video has been when Stump and I have been out. Funny how when the sailing gets good, the cancorder goes under cover.

Oops, I didn't mean that to sound the way it did. I was thinking of later in the day, off Alki, when the wind picked up. I then couldn't manage the camera and the boat at once.

New motor? So are we going to have races this year?? Maybe waterskiing?

It would have been great if you could have captured the speed differential between Stump's Weekender and yours while on the same heading. I was wishing I had a video camera to record that event as you caught up and blew past us and then disappeared from view.

Dacron sails with a lapper as opposed to polytarp standard. :shock: I still have to make a lapper before the "season" opens.

I'm kinda bummed, I was going to take my daughter and her um...significant other...on a little sail while they were up from Lost Wages...I mean Las Vegas but there hasn't been a non-rainy day for over a week.

We should plan on doing a video this spring or summer showing the difference in performance. That would be cool. 8)

I'll remember that next spring. I will have to pass the camera off to Stump! I don't have any video of my boat, lots of still shots though.

Now if I can just figure out how or where to upload WMV files. The WMV of that same movie is much longer and only 6.5Mb. I have three videos all together, totally about 15 minutes.
