ok, it is most likely buried somewhere but I can't find it. How long should the foot be of an average lapper? I'm assuming the luff remains the same and from those two figures I can figure out the leach...right? :roll: :oops:

or is it the leach remains the same and I can figure out the luff? :?

Luff, (leading edge remains the same.)

Leech, (trailing edge, may remain the same or just a little longer.)

Foot, Substantially different. (Bottom edge, measured from clew to bottom trailing corner.) I would take measurement from position of Clew when jib is set to where you would like the tack to be located. Just forward of the front stay a few inches for the most part. I would keep that point a bit higher in relation to the deck so you can see below it to some extent.
